MIXED MEDIA EXPLORATION THROUGH STREET ART GRADES 3-5 @ BEIDLER ELEMENTARY 2015-16

2D CHICAGO ARTISTS GRADES 2-5 @ SKYART 2017
After school students explored Chicago artists of the past and present through various 2-D media including drawing, painting, printmaking and collage. They learned the impact the artists have had on our great city, at the same time creating personal and collaborative works of art.

OUTSIDER ART GRADES 2nd + 5th @ MARY LYON ELEMENTARY + INTUIT ART CENTER 2016
Fifth grade students created Howard Finster inspired self-portraits using various materials such as cardboard, acrylic paint, black sharpie, and paint markers. Emphasis was on painting techniques, portrait drawing, patterns, color and text.
Second grade students created colorful mixed-media animals inspired by Howard Finster’s paintings. Emphasis was on pattern, color, shape and recycled/everyday materials.
Art club students created Howard Finster inspired art for their school garden.
