Final Painting Project- Tints and Shades Grid Painting
*Make grid on canvas board. 1 inch squares- 12 across 12 down. Draw lightly with pencil. *Lightly draw whatever image you want (teacher approved). Fill the entire board.
Time to start painting...
*Start with background. *Choose one color to paint with. *Mix color with white to get different tints. *Mix color with it's complementary color (colors opposite each other on color wheel) to get different shades. *Paint each square of background a different tint and shade!!!
*Choose second color to paint with. *Decide what part of your painting you want in this second color. *Paint each square of section a different tint and shade!!!
*Choose third color to paint with. *Decide what part of your painting you want in this third color. *Paint each square of section a different tint and shade!!!
*Final painting will be painted with at least THREE colors!!
*Feel free to do more than three colors.
*Each 1" square will be a different tint or shade of your chosen colors.
*Remember - we are only using primary colors (red, blue and yellow) and white of the acrylic paint. No black! You will have to mix paint to get all the fun colors!!!
